Wineries, Golf & Wildlife in the Cape & Kruger
ABOUT THIS ITINERARY:
If you fancy a bit of golf, a drop of wine, scenic vistas and seeing the Big 5, then this may be the itinerary for you. Steenberg Estates is the regions oldest winery established in 1652. With old world charm and new world luxury Steenberg is an incredible place to stay. Play golf on their acclaimed golf course the do a wine tasting at 1652 bistro. Enjoy the stunning scenery, world class spa facilities and exceptional food and wine parings. With rooms that can overlook the vines and surrounded by tall mountains of Constantia you end up wanting to extend your stay. Steenberg is also perfectly positioned to explore the Waterfront, Cape Peninsula and the Boulder Penguins and has easy access to Cape Town International Airport. Not much more I can say about Steenberg except, wow, we loved it and I am sure you will too! Take a scheduled flight to Skukuza airport in the South of Kruger National Park and then do a 2hr game drive to Jock Safari Lodge. Placed on its own concession within the park, Jocks is spoilt for location and boasts fantastic wildlife. Another 45minutes down the road lies Leopard Creek Golf Club, one of South Africa’s finest courses. Only opened to a limited number of nearby lodges Leopard Creek is otherwise exclusive to members only. Expertly designed along the crocodile river you know you playing golf in Africa when you playing at Leopard Creek. Home to a number of top tournaments the course is always in top shape. We love our golf and our safaris so we had a lot of fun designing (and testing) this itinerary.
