Cape Town is as fun and friendly as it is beautiful, and its worldwide fame is well deserved. First there is the city of Cape Town set on the slopes and valley of the stunning Table Mountain. It is steeped in history, famous for being a city bursting with culture and is known as one of the most scenic locations in the world. Located on beautiful Table Bay this vibrant city could not have been designed any better, and it is the perfect place to pair with an African Safari when you visit this incredible continent.
If you take a scenic drive out of Cape Town, it does not matter if you go North, East or West, there is so much to see and do with activities for every type of traveller. This region of South Africa is perfect for families, honeymooners, solo travellers, small groups or large tours and many activities can be arranged at short notice. Cape Town has an array of award-winning restaurants of every style, with fresh seafood delivered daily from the rich Atlantic and Indian oceans that meet only a few ours away at Cape Agulhas.
Accommodation options are plentiful no matter what your budget range, many are chic boutique hotels or lovely bed and breakfast stays offering the Cape Town experience everyone has come to know. We recommend at least 4-5 days or more in Cape Town to truly appreciate everything on offer in and around the city, and in the surrounding towns. Enjoy the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront or the beauty and quiet of nearby Constantia, visit the famous wine region of Stellenbosch or spend a day on the stunning sandy beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton. There is simply too many experiences to list but the team at Sensational Africa can tailor your trip to according to your interests.
Getting around Cape Town is very easy, use local transfer companies if pre-booked or use Uber to get yourself to and from the attractions. We also recommend hiring a car and self driving to Cape Point whilst enjoying one of the most scenic roads in the world, Chapmans Peak. It is best to enjoy Cape Town over several days to truly enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, the stunning winery region, the nightlife and the range of activities on offer. We highly suggest including Cape Town on your African Safari itinerary.
