Victoria Falls
Situated right in the epicentre of Southern Africa is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of The World, Victoria Falls! Victoria Falls is a destination on the rise, with a large international airport connecting to various major hubs, an array of well established lodges, camps and hotels it makes it the perfect place to start or finish a safari.
Known locally as Mosi-o-a-Tunya “the smoke that thunders” it is the perfect destinations for families, couples, solo travellers and groups. Widely known as the adventure capital of Africa for its selection of adrenalin activities which can get your heart pumping. There is also an array of cultural and more sedate activities for the less adventurous travellers. Victoria Falls has become a very popular African holiday destination and its reputation of the worlds largest waterfall is due it being widest sheet of falling water on the planet. At over 1.6km wide the mighty Zambezi River flows over the falls and plunges over 100m into the gorge below. The spray creates a mist that can be seen from over 10km away in the high season and offers travellers incredible views.
The Victoria Falls is shared between Zambia and Zimbabwe and the falls can be viewed from both sides. If you are travelling to Africa, a visit to Victoria Falls is a must. The town of Victoria Falls has a lot going on with great restaurants and wildlife is regularly seen moving around the town.
