There is hope however that we are getting back to being able to venture afar. With the milder version of Omicron circulating and a broader understanding of “learning to live with the virus” starting to be the new way for governments to deal with outbreaks, the industry is seeing a steady increase in interest to travel again. It will take sometime for the travel industry to get all the cogs moving again, with flights and logistics requiring steady numbers of travellers to travel and build that certainty.

As a specialist in African travel offering boutique tailored itineraries to our clients, we could not be more excited of the prospect of a return to travel to Africa. Our partners on the ground, the lodges, camps, and hotels along with their staff and guides have been longing for our return as much needed revenue from travel goes back into the communities and to the wildlife warriors that work so hard to ensure a sustainable industry, so our children can enjoy mother Africa the way we have. Our favourite cities like Cape Town are also awaiting travellers and we expect there to be a rush to Africa as travellers get back to nature and their favourite sites on the continent.
