Where is Ruckomechi: Ruckomechi Camp is located on the floodplains of the Zambezi River in Mana Pools.  The lodge has striking vistas of the river and the Zambezi escarpment across the river in Zambia.  Mana Pools has some of the best guided walking in Africa thanks to the Albida forest that lines the river banks.  These provide shade for the lodge and a refuge for many wild animals during the hot months.  The elephant and other species come to feed on the nutritious pods that fall to the ground.  One may see old bull elephants standing up on their hind legs to reach the higher pods.  Mana Pools is a seasonal destination opening from April through to November.  This wild area in Zimbabwe is simply incredible, a true African wilderness set on one of Africas oldest rivers.  Experience romantic Africa, Ruckomechi is one of our favourite places to visit.

Accommodation: Ruckomechi has ten spacious tents, two of which are family tents.  The main area does well to bring the best out of the magnificent views.  Spend a night out in the romantic Star Bed and enjoy the sounds of Africa.  If you are travelling to Zimbabwe, Ruckomechi is definitely something that should be on your list.
