Davison’s Camp

Where is Davison’s Camp: Davison’s Camp is situated in Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe.  Davison’s is the best value for the best location in Hwange.  It has the privilege of being in a private concession in a remote, wildlife-rich corner of Hwange National Park. It has gained its name from the founder of Hwange National Park and its first warden, Ted Davison. The camp is set on a grassy plain over looking a very productive waterhole which wildlife frequents throughout the day and night.  It gives you access to the famous Ngamo Plains.  There is a great selection of activities, and we recommend no less than 3 days here.  Davison’s is an adventurers camp, so whilst it passes on some of the glamour, it makes up for it in droves in authenticity and wildlife. Davison’s is right up our alley and ticks many boxes for those wanting to experience raw Zimbabwe.

Accommodation: There are nine bright and airy tents, one of which is a family tent.  The tents are spread out under the tree-line with magnificent views.  The main area is more than adequate and focuses on the beauty of the plains in front of you.  There is a raised viewing deck, a fire-pit and a separate pool area to relax buy or take a dip on hot sunny days.

Activities: Game Drives, Game Viewing Hide, Night Drives, Guided Walks
