Camp Xakanaxa

Camp Xakanaxa is located in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana. It is one of the very few safari camps that offers guests a year-round Okavango Delta land and water safari experience. Resting on the banks of the Khwai River, the owners of this camp have mindfully created a bush camp that blends harmoniously within its surroundings and nature. The camp is set on raised wooden platforms shaded by towering trees. Camp Xakanaxa boasts a thatched dining room, lounge and bar area, curio shop, fire deck and a stunning swimming pool. It’s a restful sanctuary with exceptional comforts and uninterrupted views. The camp is accessed by light aircraft transfer and these can be scheduled according to your personal itinerary.

Twelve luxury safari tents are positioned over the water’s edge with private viewing decks to enjoy the scenery. The rooms are spacious all-canvas, classic Meru-style luxury safari tents with ensuite showers and bathroom facilities. The tents have all the comforts and luxuries one needs to relax and unwind including a complimentary laundry service. This camp also has one family tent which consists of two ensuite bedrooms. The camp features an open-air lounge, which is the perfect place to relax and take in the scenery.  The lounge has a well-stocked bar where guests can help themselves to an assortment of beverages.

The elegant dining area is the setting for superb light breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas, and scrumptious dinners. With the camp’s dining and lounge spaces flowing out onto a spacious viewing deck, guests can dine and drink al fresco. Guests are treated to night-time fires in the cooler months while being able to utilise the fit-pit lounges in the summers months enjoying the cool shade of a large Jackalberry tree. The camp also features a pool surrounded by sun loungers where guests can relax and enjoy a refreshing dip.
