Bisate Lodge is exceptional to say the least. A major reforestation project created a home for Bistate in an ideal location boasting dramatic views of the Bisoke and Karisimbi volcano peaks. It is within a short distance of the Park Headquarters where your bucket-list gorilla treks depart from. After your enduring gorilla trek there is still so much to do at Bisate, explore the local community, visit the Twin Lakes of Ruhondo and Burera and Diane Fossey’s burial site. There is exceptional birding around the lodge and you can track the Golden Monkey. With a strong conservation presence in the community you can also take some time out to help reforest other parts of the forest.
With the awards stacking up Bisate is becoming Rwanda’s premier camp. There are six opulent en-suite Forest Villas designed with the rich Rwandan local culture in mind. Each Forest Villa has a central fireplace and uninterrupted views of the surrounding mountains. The main area comprises a lounge, dining and bar area, wine cellar and viewing deck.
Bisate is a luxurious and eco-sensitive safari lodge. The theme of the lodge is fully centered on the immersive wild primate experience that people come to tick off their bucket list.
